There is an increasingly recognized gap in formal programming for mid and late career faculty. The Where’s Waldo 2020 AUR Venture Fund Grant funded project addresses this gap, and provides a combination of enduring materials and in-person (virtual) activities cultivating continued career success.
A smaller, longitudinal program will be offered to 10 participants through a competitive application process. These small group sessions will involve in-depth mentorship from peers and senior mentors and will focus on areas such as developing as a leader, improving writing and research skills, and business acumen.
Small group curriculum (1 year commitment for the 10 selected applicants):
Mentorship circle consisting of peer mentorship (within the group) and higher level leader mentorship (Vice Chair or Chair level). Meetings via web-conferencing monthly; topics TBD by participant group 1. Group work on a Coursera course such as negotiation skills (course itself is free of charge, a course certificate is possible) 2. Research and article writing mentorship, CV analysis: finding personal gaps and guidance on filling them in (group peer activity) 3. Virtual journal club
